It’s the end of the basketball season for my daughter. It was her first time playing and her coach was AWESOME. He’s actually the dad of one of her friends and plays basketball himself. He made sure the girls were having fun as well as learning the rules of the game.
Since Saturday will be her last game, I whipped up this card for all the girls on the team to sign it for him. He not only volunteered his time for weekly practices and weekend games, but had to deal with other teams whose coaches were not always of the mindset that the girls should have fun. There were some really competitive teams who were out there fouling like crazy; but he kept his cool (or at least it appeared so to the parents watching the games!)
