Shell Sentiments Card

Today as I was looking through the swap cards I recently received for CTMH’s Seasonal Expressions 2 Catalog, I realized how I rarely get to show off all the beautiful cards made by my fellow swappers.  So I decided for the next several weeks I’m going to show off as many as I can!  I have no doubt you’ll find some great inspiration in these cards!

Shell Sentiments Stamp Set

This first card is from Jen DeLuc.  She used our *NEW* Shell Sentiments Stamp Set for this card.  In order to achieve the nice soft look of her shell, she stamped the shell in Toffee followed by 2nd Generation Lemon.  Second Generation Stamping means you ink up your stamp as usual, stamp on scratch paper and then without re-inking your image, you stamp it on your project.  This gives you a softer color/effect.

I really love the mix of fonts found in this stamp set.  Plus, they are sentiments you will no doubt use over and over again.

When I first saw Jen’s card, the use of the mini staples to secure the twine is what stood out to me.  I love that.  I’ve done it before but just don’t think to do it that often.  It adds a nice touch of softness with the twine as well as grounding with the metal.
