Several weeks ago, I shared a tutorial on how to make a Right Angle Fold Over Card. Today, I’m sharing another card I made in this style. It’s a nice change of pace from the traditional style card for sure.
I created the card with Close To My Heart’s Color of the Year, Sugarplum. It is SO pretty!
I paired it with the *NEW* Boutique Paper Pack (which has a very Boho Chic feel to it!)
I wanted to keep it fairly simple since the card design is meant to be the “wowie” factor. I used our Cricut Artistry Collection to cut out the cat (my daughter’s favorite with the heart cutout) and backed the open heart with our now retired Bashful Glitter Paper.
I then glued the cat onto one of the *NEW* Fancy Tags Thin Cuts dies. It worked perfectly because it was a nice size to be the focal point of the card. Plus, the hole in the tag made it easy to tie some twine through and create a bow.
I adhered it to the left hand side of the card using some Thin 3-D Foam Tape to give it a little more dimension. To add just a touch more dimension and texture, I added some Grey Gems on top of the Charcoal Polka Dots on the patterned paper. It’s subtle but adds a really nice touch I think.
