At first glance Close To My Heart’s March Stamp of the Month, This Happened, seems like it could only be used to create scrapbook layouts. Well, today I have a card I created with this stamp set that shows that you can make cards with this set, too!
For my card, I strategically stamped only the top portion of one of the images so I could create the banner for my card. The idea was to keep the theme general enough that the card could be used for a birthday, congratulations, retirement or similar so I didn’t add any additional sentiments.
I added in some balloons from our Cricut Artiste Collection (now retired)–using both our 3-D Foam Dots and Thin 3-D Foam Dots in order to create different depths to give the illusion of some of the balloons being closer and some being further away. Our Silver Embellishing Thread was perfect for the strings to the balloons!
Finally, the papers and colors I chose to use for this card are all part of the So Much Happy Collection. The colors are so vibrant and cheerful, right? And what’s even better is that all month long when you buy one paper collection, you can get a 2nd one for 50% off! That means you could get the So Much Happy Paper Pack and then the So Much Happy Coordinating Cardstock for 50% off! Nice, right?
