This card, created by Laura, is from a couple month’s ago at our Team Celebration Card Swap. It shows how a simple “trick” can provide a stunning result.
All of our patterned paper (B&T as we call it–“Background & Texture”) is double-sided with one side being bright and colorful and the reverse being monochromatic and more subdued–but with the same pattern. Look closely–Laura simply cut a half oval from the Zippidee Striped B&T and flipped it over to complete the oval before stamping the castle on both sections.
Love it! What do you think? Simple and stunning, right?
Sometimes it's the simple things. I hadn't thought to do it either. She did a great job!
Nice card. I have done the split-negative embossing, but have never just stamped on "split" paper before. It has a very striking look.
