For this week’s Make It Monday (35th edition), I’m sharing this adorable gnome holiday card. I created it with the Gnome for Christmas Stamp Set + Thin Cuts. I absolutely LOVE this set! All of the images in this set are so adorable.
I used a pattern from our retired Wishes Card Pattern Book called Just Right.
It’s a really simple pattern so it offers lots of opportunity to personalize to your taste. As you can see, I added some additional matting as well as a strip of our *NEW* Flamingo Shimmer Trim to my card.
The String of Lights Pattern from the *NEW* Jingle Joy Paper Collection was perfect for pairing with the gnome holding the string of lights. So cute! I colored in my gnome and tree using TriBlend Markers that were similar in color as the Jingle Joy Paper. Here is a list of the ones I used:
- Ice Grey (Z2474)
- Alpine Green (Z2521)
- Tan Shades (Z2514)
- Fair Skin (Z2476)
- Bright Pink Shades (Z2531)
- Pale Pink (Z2496)
- Blender (Z2499)
I purposely left the ornaments on my tree white. I felt it gave the card some balance. You don’t want too much color or pattern happening so that it becomes overwhelming. Plus, once the colorful lights are added to the tree, that will provide the necessary color.
As I said, this pattern can achieve so many looks. I previously shared cards with this same pattern HERE and HERE. I hope that my adorable gnome holiday card has inspired you to give this pattern a try today.
