All month long at Preschool, we are doing topics dealing with Halloween. Bats, witches, ghosts, spiders and today was Monster Mash. So in honor of the festivities, I thought it would be fun to bake the kids some monster cookies to take home and enjoy.
Sticking with the theme, I decided to decorate up some paper CD sleeves to use as my packaging for the cookies. Clever, right!?! Our Preschool teacher thought they were truly cookie packaging and asked where she could buy them (Office Depot, Staples, Office Max…take your pick!)
To make your ‘lil monster you’ll need:
- 3″ square for face
- 1-1/2″ x 3″ rectangle cut with jagged edges for hair
- (2) small ovals for ears
- (2) 1/2″ white circles for eyes
- (2) 1/4″ black circles for eye balls
- 3/4″ circle for nose
- 4275 My Legacy Writers Black Pen Set for mouth and scar
And if you really wanna get in the Monster Mash mood…feel free to dance along with this video just like the kiddos did today!
