Today was officially the last fieldtrip for this school year. At our school we have a parent who is the Fieldtrip Coordinator for each class. They work with the teacher to plan the trips and then coordinate drivers–no easy task that’s for sure! There were way too many times this year when trips were almost cancelled last minute due to lack of drivers. Our program does a fieldtrip each month so you can imagine the amount of work it can take!
I wanted to make sure that the 2 fieldtrip coordinators for my son & daughter’s classes knew their efforts were appreciated. We decided to bake them some Strawberry Banana muffins. My kids love baking–there were a few minutes of arguing over mashing the bananas but that quickly passed when it was time to prepare the strawberries!
And of course to properly express gratitude and appreciation you need a lovely handmade card, right?!? The first one above was given to my son’s fieldtrip coordinator. Then we gave this other one to my daughter’s fieldtrip coordinator.
Next on the to-do list are End of Year Teacher gifts (and cards–but those are already done and being passed around for families to sign.) I’ll post pictures later next week once the school year is officially done; don’t want to risk ruining the surprise!
