It’s that time of year when things get busy. Sport seasons wrap up, Teacher Appreciation Week happens, the end of school draws near with all the many projects still to be completed and finally End-of-the-Year gifts for teachers. It’s always good to have a few ideas for appreciation cards handy!
This card was a group/class card I helped create with my son and daughter’s classes. I had each student do a maximum of 2 thumbprints (to conserve space!) and then let them use their imagination to create something with that thumbprint. Some really cute creations were born!
Next up is the appreciation card I created for my daughter’s soccer coaches (I was in charge of their end-of-the season party.)
I used a lot of embossing on the card–which I really like. I used white embossing powder and did the “score” sentiment. Then I used the Diamond Embossing Folder for the net behind the soccer ball (which I stamped on some scratch paper, cut out and placed on 3-D Foam Tape–it’s a little hard to tell from my photo.) Finally, I used the Arrow Embossing Folder as my main background. I think all the layering really adds to the effectiveness of the card. When in doubt, always layer!
I found the idea for the inside sentiment (and Coach gift) on Pinterest. Many of these coaches coach season after season and probably have piles of gift cards to the local sports store. I thought this idea was a fun idea–it could be used as a date night or even a fun afternoon out with their daughter!
My final appreciation card–and possibly my favorite–is the one I created for my son and daughter’s teachers for the end of the school year. Pairing CTMH’s Teacher Appreciation Stamp Set with the Chalk It Up Paper Pack worked perfectly!
