A fun collection of *NEW* items that stood out to me was the Calypso Paper Pack. Doesn’t it just scream “Summer, here I come!”
The coordinating Tickled Pink Stamp Set is just too fabulous to pass up. And if you look closely, you’ll see the faint blue lines around the components of the flamingos–there’s a Tickled Pink Thin Cuts, too!
I decided to use the Tickled Pink Stamp Set and Thin Cuts set with our Circle Spin Card (in the Clearance section for only $3.15 for 10 cards & envelopes–while supplies last!)
To really make the flamingo pop, I decided to work mainly in a black and white palette. I absolutely LOVE the La Vie En Rose Paper Pack for this reason–so many black and white patterned paper selections!
I then added in some of the pink ombre paper from this month’s Happy Times Paper Pack offered in celebration of National Scrapbooking Month for the front circle.
And here’s a tip for you on using the Tickled Pink Thin Cuts with the Tickled Pink Stamp Set…usually I recommend that people stamp their image first and then cut it out using the Thin Cut. However, with this particular set, the angle of the flamingo’s legs is so precise that you actually need to cut out the image and then stamp it!
I popped up the wing to give it a little more dimension and only glued down the body so that the legs were free–again, giving it a little more dimension.
Since I created a cut file in Cricut Design Space for the front of the card–to create a nice border–I wanted to also utilize the interior square as well. I decided to mat it and place it inside to keep the look all consistent.
I also added in the fun & coordinating Calypso Washi Pack–the flamingo one (can’t wait to use the pineapple one on another project!)
I finished off the other side of the circle spinner with the *NEW* Calypso Sequins.
