Crop ‘Til You Drop

Crop November 2016

This past Saturday we held our Semi-Annual Crop.  I always forget to take photos to document the festivities even though every time I always tell myself I need to remember.  Well, this time I managed to remember (not right away, but I did remember!)

November 2016 Crop

We hosted it at a new location because for the first time since we started hosting the crops 5 or 6 years ago, our location double booked us (insert sad face here!)

The good news is that our new location turned out to have many benefits (closer parking–which means less distance to haul everything in, nicer kitchen facilities for our lunch, the ability to have product on hand to sell, etc.)

coffee-cup-challenges

I made up some fun Mini Coffee Cups full of ribbons and embellishments to provide challenges to attendees who wanted to earn extra tickets into our prize drawing.  No matter how you decorate these Mini Coffee Cups, they are always simply adorable!!

Grand Prize Winner

Here is Cindy winning our Grand Prize Drawing.  This girl always says she never wins–yet look, here’s proof she does actually win! She makes A-M-A-Z-I-N-G layouts.  As in, she does tons of fussy cutting to make images many of us would do on our Cricuts or Silhouettes.  And this time around she brought a huge stack of her completed layouts that she had scanned and turned into a digital album for anyone who wanted to essentially re-use her layouts (simply insert their own photos in place of hers.)  This kind of generosity is such a beautiful thing.  I was lucky enough to snag some of these layouts and can’t wait to insert some of my photos into these beautifully designed layouts.  Thanks, Cindy!

Tim Holtz Houses

The fun thing about our Crops is that there is such a variety of projects being worked on.  Yes, the majority of attendees are working on scrapbook layouts, with an occasional few creating cards.  But this time around we had some other awesome projects being worked on.  Unfortunately, I didn’t capture photos of all of them, just a couple.  Noreen was working on these outstanding houses by Tim Holtz.  There’s a whole collection of these Village Homes by him–from cute cottages to Haunted House Manors–they are all spectacular!

Hand Painted Rocks

Tracy was doing such beautiful work with her hand painted rocks.  I guess when you walk up to her home you can see dozens of her hand-painted rocks in her front lawn.  I definitely want to go check these out very soon!

I missed capturing a photo of Michelle’s felting projects as well as Donna’s paintings.  Both of these ladies were doing some phenomenal projects, too.

Trophies

At the end of the day we always give out trophies to a few attendees who’ve risen to certain challenges (i.e. most projects completed, least projects completed and the people’s choice for best project.)

November 2016 Crop Winners

These ladies were our winners this time around.  I always love this portion the best of our crops.  It’s so fun to see how excited the winners are.  And especially this time around, the gal with the least projects kept saying how she could receive that trophy for every event she goes to.  She was so happy with it–it was sweet!  Congrats Anna, Jenn and Donna!

It was an amazing day.  I can’t wait until our next one.  Keep an eye on my calendar for updates and maybe you can join us next time!
