Halloween is a little less than 2 weeks away…are you ready for it?! Today I thought I’d share a really quick and easy Halloween project idea. It’s a Halloween gift bag created with Close To My Heart’s Cats & Bats Collection.
I found some cute little gift bags in black and orange at Michaels and thought they’d be the perfect base for some Halloween gift bags–they just needed a little sprucing up!
I grabbed my Cats & Bats Cardmaking Stamp Set along with the coordinating Thin Cuts dies to get started. I inked up half of the “Halloween” sentiment in Black ink and then flipped my stamp over 180 degrees and inked up the other half in Goldrush ink. I stamped this on some scratch White Daisy cardstock and then cut it out with the coordinating die. Such a great look with the 2 colors! Finally, I sponged some Black ink around the edges with a Sponge Dauber to give it a little more definition.
Next, I cut out a large circle in Goldrush cardstock and then using the cat die, cut out the image at the base of the circle (you want it to cover 95% of the circle so it creates a silhouette in front of the moon look.)
I glued the die cut circle to the center of the bag and then using 3-D Foam Dots, I attached the Halloween sentiment across the top of it. To finish it all off, I tied a small bow with our Black & Gold Ribbon from one of the handles.
