Okay, I’ll admit it…I’ve become addicted to another craft. Ragg quilts. A friend of mine has a die for cutting out the squares. Which is no doubt why I love making them so much. Because quite honestly, while I love the look of them, I can’t really picture myself painstakingly snipping each edge of each and every square!
I completed my first one right before Thanksgiving.
I just completed my 2nd one a couple of weeks ago–on New Year’s weekend. Can’t decide which I like more!
And I must add, fabric is just as addicting as paper. Before I had even sewn one of these bad boys, I had enough fabric to make 4!! And now that I’ve completed two of them, I still have enough to make 3 more. These two crafts are so complimentary…the art of piecing together beautiful colors and coordinating patterns holds true with both.
All I can say is, man do I need more space!
So in honor of my new found love of my sewing machine, here is a simple card that has some stitching (stamped not machine or hand made–sorry, so disappointing huh?!).
Made with our NEW Topstitch papers (sick of ’em yet??) along with the Free Spirit and Simple Stitches Stamp Sets.
Great card! Love the haphazard look of the paper, but then how it is 'anchored' with the straight stitching.
They are a good compliment to each other aren't they?? 'Cept fabric takes up even more room to store than paper does!
