It’s week 4 of my Mail It Monday and I have a simple Sympathy Card to share. While this card won’t be mailed, it was shared around the office for signatures today for a co-worker who had a death in the family. I don’t know about you, but sympathy cards are always harder for me to create. I didn’t want to do anything fancy or distracting so I kept the design very simple. The only technique added was clear embossing the cherry blossoms for an elegant tone-on-tone effect.
I used our very elegant Cherry Blossoms Stamp Set for the embossing. And our fabulous Floral Borders and Sentiments Stamp Set for the sentiment. They paired so nicely together.
Here is a complete listing of the supplies I used for my card today.

As I said, it’s a very simple design. Basically just a lot of matting to add depth and visual appeal. Here is the Card Sketch if you’d like to create your own.
Whether you create a simple sympathy card or another handmade card with this sketch, I hope you enjoy creating it!
I really like this card. As a sympathy card I think it really hits the mark with an elegant style and calming color selection. I really like the clear embossing you added for just the right embellishment. I also like the design as it could be used for so many types of cards.
