This week’s Make It Monday features another FREE card pattern. This CityScapes Pattern is from our now retired Wishes Card Pattern Book. This is a great card design with the stacked look to it, but also because you can create 4 cards from just 1 sheet of 12″ x 12″ piece of cardstock!
Two days ago I shared Close To My Heart’s announcement that they were going to host an all-day FREE Virtual Craft Day to celebrate National Scrapbooking Day. Since 1994, National Scrapbooking Day has always been the first Saturday in May–making it May 2nd this year. For many, going to a traditional all-day crop or other crafting event is out of the question. From basic social distancing to Shelter-in-Place Orders this just isn’t possible.
This week’s Make It Monday features another FREE card pattern! This “Pretty Simple” Pattern is from our now retired Originals Card Program. It’s a great pattern that, like it’s name says, is pretty simple! But even though it is simple, it doesn’t mean you can’t dress it up a bit.
This weekend I challenge you to create some handmade happiness! (I’ve been creating cards using Close To My Heart’s *NEW* Let’s Stay Home Stamp Set.) Then Monday morning mail what you’ve created to those you haven’t been able to see in person due to social distancing. The joy you feel when you find a handmade card in the mail can’t be beat. Really.
As soon as I saw the April Stamp of the Month, O-fish-ally Awesome, when the Close To My Heart March-April Catalog was released, I was super excited for it! And now it’s April–time to use this amazing stamp set. So many wonderful possibilities with it!
Remember this stack of happy mail I shared earlier this week? Well, it’s officially on it’s way to oodles of my favorite people. I hope when they find it in their mailbox, it brings a smile to their face.
Today’s inspiration is all about preparing for Easter. This morning my daughter asked me if we would be doing anything for Easter since we didn’t really do much for St. Patrick’s Day. (I generally try to decorate our home, even if it’s only a tiny amount, as well as to do or make something a little extra special for that particular holiday to make it more memorable.) Well, with all that is going on around the world with COVID-19, I admit our St. Patrick’s Day didn’t quite live up to past ones.

We all are spending a little more time at home these days with the coronavirus/COVID-19 situation. As crafters, we’ve been preparing for this day. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! For most, this particular holiday won’t seem quite the same this year with the new norm of social distancing. Parades have been cancelled, bars closed and where I live, you basically have to avoid someone if you see them approaching you on the sidewalk!
