Are you finished with all your holiday preparations and now feeling the holiday spirit? Or maybe it’s a little bit more of a feeling of holiday stress? If it’s a more of the latter because you still need a few small gifts for co-workers, neighbors or even teachers, Close To My Heart recently shared some wonderful festive ideas to help you out on their blog.
For the past 7 weeks, I’ve been sharing holiday project tutorials with those who’ve signed up for our mailing list. So far we’ve shared 5 holiday card ideas and are in the middle of our gift ideas (tomorrow will be the 3rd gift idea.) If you haven’t signed up yet, you can do so before tomorrow at 1 pm (PDT) and receive the remaining project tutorials.
Happy Halloween! Today there are no tricks, just treats for you! I’m going to show you how you can create these cute (and easy) Tall Treat Pouches. While my sample today is Halloween themed, I can easily see this project duplicated for Christmas and filled with candy canes or other tall treats for the holiday. Grab your favorite patterned paper, your Paper Trimmer, some strong double-sided adhesive and a Bone Folder and let’s get started.
If you’re like me, you have a tough time parting ways with pretty paper–no matter how small the piece is. I’ve definitely gotten better over the years by trying to hold true to my new rule of the “scrap” must be at least a 3″x 3″ piece before I save it. For this reason, today’s blog post by Close To My Heart definitely piqued my interest!
It’s the final few days to grab the Close To My Heart October Stamp of the Month, Autumn Air. This stamp set has a great variety of images–from outline and solid leaf images to sentiments and even a fun border image.
Things have been pretty busy here this week preparing for my Annual Holiday Extravaganza Class & All-day Crop. Add in the stress of wondering if our city & neighborhood would be one that would be impacted by PG&E’s Power Shutoff and it feels as though I’m scrambling to get things done (& hope they don’t become undone–like food purchased for Saturday’s event going bad if the power is shut off!)
Today the first holiday project tutorial of my 12 Weeks of Christmas was sent out to my mailing list subscribers. Not only did it showcase a fun watercolor technique, but it also had a fun fold to the design as well.
September is National Stamping Month. To celebrate, Close To My Heart did a wonderful post on their Make It From Your Heart Blog showcasing some stamping basics–perfect for the beginner stamper and a great refresher for the seasoned stamper. So you don’t miss out on all this great knowledge I’m sharing it with you today.
