I finally finished it…a hair accessory organizer for my daughter. I started this project nearly a year ago…{GASP}!! Pretty pathetic considering this is quite an easy project to do! Sadly, I have many (and I mean many!) projects like this in my craft studio. When a project isn’t pressing, it gets put to the side and forgotten. But a few weeks ago a friend of mine mentioned wanting to make one of these on Facebook and I realized then, I definitely needed to finish this.
It all began like this…
And then I added some paper from the Roxie Collection with Mod Podge. Cut out a lovely flower with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge; used Liquid Glass to affix a big Sparkle in the center of it. I wanted to give it a little lift so I cut out a bow/flower base with the Cricut Artiste cartridge and then lined it with ribbon for some added texture.
Once everything was dry and secure, it was time to do a test run…headbands…

Mmmhh, I want a little more functionality to this project. How about some ribbons inside to hold hair clips?

Like I said, not a difficult or time-consuming project…just not high on the priority list. Although, now that it’s complete, I’m sure I’ll wonder why I didn’t finish it sooner…my bathroom counter and daughter’s room will no doubt thank me!
