Do you ever make holiday decor items to decorate your home for the holidays? That’s what I did with today’s project! I found a wooden bat at a local craft store and thought it would go perfectly with Close To My Heart’s *NEW* Hello Pumpkin Paper Collection.
While the Hello Pumpkin Paper Pack has many wonderful patterns to choose from, I love the simplicity of the word pattern design so I decided to use it for the wings of my bat.
I kept the bat’s body as black but wanted to add a little something to it. So I added our *NEW* Black Shimmer Brush by painting the entire body with it. Truly the photo doesn’t do it justice–it just can’t capture the true beauty of it. The paper looks like it could be glitter paper without the texture. It has so much shimmer and sparkle to it!
Before adhering the patterned paper to the bat’s wings, I used a Sponge Dauber and Black ink to give it a little more detail. It also helps blend it into the black wooden bat cutout.
To finish off the bat, I used our Liquid Glass to adhere some wiggly eyes. It all came together nicely for a simple Halloween home decor piece.
