Today is March 14 or in other words–Pi Day! I wonder if places like Marie Callender’s see a big increase in pie sales today!? =)
I know in my home it’s always a request my kids make of me on this day each year–“bake pie, mom!” So today, on one of our warmer days–80+ degrees–I baked a pie for my kids to enjoy.
I also whipped up this quick card to commemorate the day. Here are the supplies I used to create this card:
- Year Round Cheer Stamp Set (2012 Retired Stamp of the Month)
- Sugar Rush Cardmaking Thin Cuts Bundle (Z3300)
- Cocoa Stamp Pad (Z2814)
- Sorbet Stamp Pad (Z2864)
- Sorbet Cardstock (X5751)
- Cocoa Cardstock (X5642)
- Colonial White Cardstock (1388)
- Dreamin’ Big Paper Pack (X7218B) I used one of the pocket cards in this paper pack
- Gold Shimmer Trim (Z1985)
- Gold Shimmer Brush (Z3316)
- Gold Glitter Gems (Z3312)
- Round Sponge (Z697)
- Thin 3-D Foam Tape (Z2060)
- Basic Circles Thin Cuts (Z3318)
This card went together especially fast with the help of both the Circle Thin Cuts and the Sugar Rush Thin Cuts for the pennant. And don’t forget–all month long ALL Thin Cuts (including those bundled with coordinating stamp sets) are 25% off! Awesome deal!
Enjoy your Pi Day!
