Today I have this beautiful Hope & Kindness You’re the Best Card to share. This *NEW* Collection really is a must have. The papers are so, so pretty. And the doily die-cuts are ah-mazing! I can’t stop creating with them!
This was the first time I had used the smaller doily though. And while I was preparing to cut it out, I had a lightbulb moment. You can nest the 2 doily dies and cut 2 out at the same. Fabulous pro tip, right?
Not only did this little trick save some time (now I have the larger doily ready for another project) but the paper was a time saver, too. It looks like I cut strips of various patterned paper and adhered them one next to another. But…it came like that! Yep, it’s one of the patterns in the Hope & Kindness Paper Pack.
I just cut one piece that looks like several smaller strips adhered together. So easy! And so pretty, too.
The most time I spent on this card was creating the butterfly. To add a little visual interest, I incorporated the Rock & Roll Technique. I inked the butterfly stamp image up in Papaya and then did a little rock & roll technique using both Desert Rose and Harbour inks before stamping it on White Daisy Cardstock. Then to soften it a little I cut out the butterfly in Vellum Paper. I used our Toffee Shimmer Brush to add some color to the center of the Vellum butterfly. To add some sparkle and dimension to the body, I used Glisten Stickles as well as Onyx Pearl Liquid Pearls to outline the antenna.
Truly this collection is so beautiful. I’m really enjoying creating with it. And I love the results I got with my Hope & Kindness You’re the Best Card.
