Today I wanted to share how to create a handmade graduation cap card with you. This is a really fun card design. Plus, it is so perfect for graduation because of the shape of the portion that springs forward.
Perhaps the best part of this card design is that it will mail flat. But once you take it out of the envelope it will spring forward. It has a great wow factor but is really quite easy to create.
The May Stamp of the Month is also a perfect stamp set for this card! As I showed in the video, I used the one sentiment on the front of the card. But then also used a separate one on the back along with a couple of the star images.
The products I used to create this card are:
STAMPS
INKS
- Pewter Stamp Pad (Z2832)
PAPERS
- White Daisy Cardstock (1385)
- Charcoal Cardstock (X5953)
- Mix-in Paper Pack (X9015)
ACCESSORIES
- Bonding Memories Glue (1512)
- Piercing Tool (Z3547)
- 3-D Foam Tape (Z1151)
- Bigger Brads (retired)
- Black Embroidery Floss (retired)
I hope you’ll give this card design a try–whether it’s in the graduation theme or a different one. But if you know someone who is graduating this year, you now know how to create a handmade graduation cap card for them!
