Did you find any leprechauns yesterday? Did you set up a trap but didn’t catch any of the sneaky fellas? Maybe you need to try out a pair of Leprechaun Binoculars!
This year I wanted to try something a little different. Each year the kids and I have made a leprechaun trap since the kids were really young–maybe 3 years old? And this year, they even had a class project of creating one. So there were 22 traps–the poor leprechauns were really in for it once they entered that classroom! So in addition to the kids making their traps for school, I made some Leprechaun Binoculars for them.
At first I wasn’t sure how into them my kids would be–but it was something creatively different to try. The idea was to use a rainbow of Washi Tapes around some color washed toilet paper rolls and finish off the ends with some gold glitter–after all, the leprechauns would be attracted to the gold making them easier to spot, right?!?
My kids LOVED them! In fact they took them to school with them yesterday and they swore they spotted leprechauns with them. So cute!! And to my surprise, even with all the other kids trying them out, they came home in pretty good shape–held up really well!
So next year if you are looking for a creative idea for St. Patrick’s Day, give these a try and let us know how they work out for you!
