Life is Good

Last week I tried some yummy pumpkin bread swirled with cream cheese at the recommendation of my friend, Chris.  It was so delicious that I was inspired to try my hand at baking my own.  So last night I googled some recipes and chose one that sounded like a winner.  The swirl effect didn’t turn out spot on, but it still was quite tasty nonetheless.
The rich aroma of the pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg made me feel nostalgic for an Autumn day (I know crazy, right–after all we’re finally getting to Summer!)
So I decided to partner that nostalgia with Jeanette’s Color Me Monday colors and create this card.
I used Brown Bag CS which I sanded as my base.  Added some Creme Brulee B&T from the Veranda Paper Packet along with Chocolate, Autumn Terracotta and Colonial White CS.  Did some paper pleating with Colonial White CS…
Used a double ribbon border between the B&T paper and the paper pleating.  Added in some sponging of Chocolate ink as well as some edge distressing to give more texture. Finished it all off using the Treetops stamp set accented with Bigger Brads and a paper clip from our Mini Medleys collection.  Voila a rich, warm card using Autumn colors that look as yummy as the bread tastes!
