For today’s Make It Monday (55th edition), I have this fun Scandinavian Folk Art Thanks Card. I went back to basics by using primary colors for the card. I also incorporated a fun symmetrical stamping technique. I like how it turned out. I don’t think I’d normally select these colors to go together (Sapphire, Candy Apple and Sundance) but it’s perfect with this stamp set. I love the result. Because it was so successful, I thought it would make for a great color challenge today.
So join me in going back to the basics and use these primary colors–Sapphire, Candy Apple and Sundance in your next project. Better yet, pair these colors with this month’s Stamp of the Month, Scandinavian Folk Art Greetings, like I did.
The other elememt that worked really well was the Candy Apple Diamond Patterned Paper in the Mix-in Paper Collection. It was the perfect addition to the stamped images and stayed within the color challenge as well.
It brought in the Candy Apple color with just a touch of texture from the subtle pattern. The pattern on the other side of this paper is also really lovely, but it was a bit more pattern than I was looking for since the focal point is a bunch of stamped images already.
I hope my Scandinavian Folk Art Thanks Card inspires you to give today’s Color Challenge a try.
