Looking for a Valentine’s Day gift that is straight from the heart and easy, too? Make this adorable little box and fill it with your sweetheart’s favorite candies!
This is one of the projects I made with my Stamp Club this month. It’s as simple as a few cuts, a few scores and then some embellishing!
First, a list of the products I used to create it:
- Share the Love Stamp Set (CC1060)
- Black Stamp Pad (Z2105)
- Ruby Stamp Pad (Z2170)
- Charlotte Paper Pack (X7205B)
- Ruby Cardstock (X5927)
- Black Cardstock (1386)
- White Daisy Cardstock (1385)
- Bitty Sparkles (Z1263)
- 3-D Foam Tape (Z1151)
- Round Sponge (Z697)
- Base and Bling Adhesive Strips (Z1904)
- Score Board (Z1937)
Ok, let’s get started.
Box Base:
For the box base, cut a 7-1/2″ square piece of Ruby Cardstock. Then random stamp, using a tone-on-tone effect, with the arrow images and Ruby ink. Then using your Score Board, score all 4 sides at 2″. Following along the score lines, make 4 vertical cuts to create flaps. Apply Base & Bling Adhesive Strips to flaps and adhere to middle panels to create box base.
Box Lid:
For box lid, cut a 5-5/8″ square piece of Black Cardstock. Using Score Board, score all 4 sides at 1″. Following same routine as in Step 1, make 4 vertical cuts along score lines to create flaps. Apply Base & Bling Adhesive to flaps and adhere to middle panels to create box lid.
Embellishments:
For the embellishments, I cut the following:
- 3-1/4″ Charlotte Arrows B&T
- 2-1/2″ Black CS
- 2-1/8″ Ruby CS
- 2″ White Daisy CS
I sponged the edges of the B&T and White Daisy CS with Black ink. The layered “Share the Love” sentiment is popped up on 3-D Foam Tape and finished with 4 Bitty Sparkles.
Then just fill your box up with some crinkle paper and chocolates and it’s ready for gift giving! A handmade Valentine’s Day gift (or alter it for another occasion!) that is quick and easy, but meaningful to the recipient.
