Today is the First Day of Spring. What better time to think about Spring Cleaning your paper crafting supplies! Here are a few ideas of how to organize and store your items–some with handy CTMH products and some with creative storage solutions.
First up…PAPER! We all have a lot of paper, right?!?!
Close To My Heart packages all their paper collections in nice ziploc bags. I keep these collections together in the bag–even the paper scraps. I found this amazing wire basket at TJMaxx in the Kitchen section–on clearance for only $10! Amazing, right? The kitchen section is a phenomenal area to find creative storage solutions!
I separate out my cardstock and organize it all on a wire rack. I punch a tag in the same color of cardstock–label it with both the name and order number (for when I am close to running out–speeds up the re-ordering process!) and Glue Dot it around the wire lip holding that color in place.
If you have a smaller collection of paper you are trying to store, CTMH offers 6″x6″ and 12″x12″ Paper Organizers--see through, sturdy plastic envelopes with a snap closure.
Next…STAMPS!
CTMH offers a variety of clear, sturdy plastic storage containers perfect for a variety of storage needs. Their Large Organizer is perfect for holding up to 40 of their stamp sets in it.
The Medium Organizer is awesome at holding Picture My Life (PML) or Project Life Cards. The removable dividers make it a snap to organize a variety of shapes and sizes to your liking.
MARKER Storage…
There are a variety of ways you can store your markers, but the best way is always flat! Some people place them in a cup sitting on it’s side. A friend had this amazing carrying case designed for Copic markers but the ShinHan Markers that CTMH offers fit perfectly, too! I found this Marker Organizer on Amazon.
GLUE, SCISSORS, ETC….
This is one of my favorite creative storage solutions I have found yet! It was again in the clearance section (I love a good deal!)…this time at Cracker Barrel. I’ve seen many similar ones since finding this one. They are designed and intended for utensils. It’s nice because it’s revolving and can hold those handy items like scissors, glue, embossing stylus, pencils, etc.
EMBELLISHMENTS…
This lovely 3-tier heart stand is a recent purchase. I love hearts and couldn’t resist getting it even if only for that reason! It’s perfect for my stash of Washi Tape. I used to store it all in a jar, but have found this new method makes them so much more accessible.
If you only have a few rolls of Washi Tape, CTMH’s Washi Tape Dispenser is pretty awesome. It’s magnetic so you can line up a couple next to each other and they will hold. It’s also nice that depending on the width of your Washi Tape, you could house a couple rolls in just one dispenser!
I hope I’ve given you some inspiration for organizing your paper crafting supplies and you feel motivated to jump in and start some Spring Cleaning!
