St. Patrick’s Day: Make Your Own Wreath

St. Patrick's Day Wreath

St. Patrick’s Day is coming!  And let me just say…this has been the year for truly enjoying each holiday with my kids!  Five must be the magic age for comprehension and enjoyment when it comes to holidays!

Leprechauns, rainbows, gold, leprechaun traps, shamrocks, wearing green…oh my!  It’s all they’ve been talking about the last 2 weeks.

So I thought I’d dedicate this week to St. Patrick Day celebration ideas and such.  Today we’ll begin with a St. Patrick’s Day wreath I made this year.  I used several different patterned papers from various paper packets, an assortment of green buttons, heart dimensional elements and Cocoa grosgrain ribbon

And here’s a tip for you…see the stem on my shamrock?  I free-handed that from the chipboard edging that held the hearts.

Don’t be afraid to use up ALL your chipboard.  In addition to being able to use the edging as components to something you are creating like I did, it also can be a great spacer…sort of like 3-D foam tape.  Just a cut a small piece and adhere it beneath the element that you want to have more dimension.  Easy!

See you tomorrow for some more St. Patrick Day ideas!
