Today’s share is a unique twist on a Gift Card Holder. I used a brown lunch bag! I cut it at 3″ keeping the base folded up to create my pocket.
Instead of adhering the sides closed to create the pocket, I simply made a belly band that I secured to the back of the bag.
Then the fun started! I created an enclosure card to tuck in the pocket along with the gift card.
I trimmed some Gold Shimmer Trim in half–love the look of the skinnier Shimmer Trim! I then stamped the sentiment above it and sponged the edges of the card. I actually did a lot of sponging on this project–pretty much every piece has been sponged!
For my potted cacti, I wanted to spotlight different features that could be done with this Stuck on You Stamp Set and coordinating Thin Cuts. The first cactus I simply stamped and then cut out using the coordinating Thin Cut die image.
For my 2nd cactus, I decided to use some of our Paper Fundamentals and just cut out the cactus image using the Thin Cut die. I totally LOVE our Paper Fundamentals–I think they are overlooked, but they have so much possibility to them. You should absolutely invest in at least one pack and give it a try–you won’t be disappointed!!
For my final cactus, I inked up a Scallop Embossing Folder and then embossed the cut out image of the cactus for a fun & inky, distressed look.
I’ll admit that initially I wasn’t sure what I’d do with this Stuck on You Stamp Set, but I really love how this particular project turned out. I am a big fan of CTMH’s *NEW* Thin Cuts dies that coordinate with their stamp sets. I’m eager to see what new ones will be debuted in the upcoming Seasonal Expressions 2–out May 1! Clearly, I’m not the only fan–they sold out of one of the Thin Cuts sets only after 2 months (that’s only half the time they’d be available in the Seasonal Expressions 1.)
