Today’s card is one from our Spring Fling Event. It’s a fun way to present a gift card. Plus, it has a fun look with the twist fold!
We used a couple of techniques with this card aside from the fun fold. I took 3 sponge daubers to apply the ink to create the multi-colored beach umbrella. Also, I added some beautiful shine and sparkle to the starfish images with our Gold Shimmer Brush (hard to tell in the photo!) The Scallop Border (Scallop Punch is now retired) adds a nice feel of ocean waves to the pocket. The other touch I added to the card that fits in nicely with a worn beach look is to distress the edges of some of the papers. I used the blade of my scissors, but to be safer, you should use our Edge Distresser to achieve this look. Plus, with so many blade edges on this tool, it’ll last you a long time! Perfect for distressing many, many projects =)
I kept the look going on the inside of the card, which has another pocket perfect for a gift card, a little note card or both!
