Today was the first day of school for my kids. I was excited to pull out the sign I made several years ago–it’s the perfect photo prop as I made the portion that says “first day of school” on velcro so I also have a strip that says “last day of school” to pull out and use at the end of the year.

This is one of the cards I made at this past weekend’s Crop. I was so into how well it was going together that I completely missed that when I adhered it to the card base, it was on the wrong way–as in instead of opening it from the right, it was from the left!! Yikes! And if that isn’t funny enough, another gal at the Crop did the very same thing shortly after it happened to me. It’s good to be reminded that we are all human, right?

Close To My Heart’s March Stamp of the Month—Sunshine Birdies–is a fun & whimsical stamp set.
I started my card by creating a watercolor sky background using our Watercolor Paints and the large flat paintbrush from our Paintbrush Set. I have to say that I truly love our Watercolor Paper.

This Sunday, October 25th, is Mother-In-Law Day and what better way to celebrate the occasion than to make and send her a handmade card! Mother-in-Laws tend to get a bad reputation so this seems like a great “unofficial” holiday to celebrate, don’t you think?
For this card, I decided to use our *NEW* Square Diffuser so that I could make the sentiment stand out a little more. The Diffusers are so fun (and easy!) to use.
