Today’s share is a unique twist on a Gift Card Holder. I used a brown lunch bag! I cut it at 3″ keeping the base folded up to create my pocket.
Instead of adhering the sides closed to create the pocket, I simply made a belly band that I secured to the back of the bag.
Then the fun started!

Close To My Heart’s March Stamp of the Month—Sunshine Birdies–is a fun & whimsical stamp set.
I started my card by creating a watercolor sky background using our Watercolor Paints and the large flat paintbrush from our Paintbrush Set. I have to say that I truly love our Watercolor Paper.
This past weekend was the Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton. We offered a free Make-n-Take and wanted to showcase the oh-so-adorable Animal Greetings Stamp Set that benefits Operation Smile. Playing with watercolor paints is awesome–it’s like you can’t mess it up! Need a little more color, add it. Need less color, add some water. Plus, there are fun techniques you can do with the paints. The one I’ve done here–a Salt Watercolor Technique–uses Kosher salt. It’s super simple and just requires a little patience (or a craft heater works, too!)
