Teacher Appreciation Pencil Vase

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week.  Both the kids and I are so excited to share the fun gifts we’ve been creating the last few weeks for our Preschool Teacher.

Today we will be giving her a Pencil Vase with fresh flowers (not the egg carton tulips that I just placed in there for the picture!) from the children as well as a potted plant with a little stake in it that reads “Thanks for helping our children grow.”

Teacher Pencil Vase

These Teacher Pencil Vases are super easy to create.  A few simple supplies…

  • flat straight-edge glass vase (not curved; Dollar Stores carry nice generic ones)
  • hot glue gun
  • decorative ribbon
  • pencils

Then all you do is hot glue your pencils around your vase until it is entirely covered.  Finish it off with decorative ribbon.  If you want it to be a bit more colorful you could also do colored pencils instead of the standard #2 pencils.  Voila…a quick and easy (and thoughtful) Teacher Appreciation Gift!
