Thanksgiving 2020 Scrapbook Layout

Thanksgiving 2020 Scrapbook Layout

For this week’s Make It Monday (36th edition), I thought it was the perfect time to share a Thanksgiving 2020 Scrapbook Layout. So I found a great layout pattern to share with you and then whipped up this layout so it’s ready for me to add my photos right after Thanksgiving. Today’s layout pattern is from our now retired Imagine Layout Pattern Book and is called Monologue.

To begin my layout, I grabbed my Toffee Cardstock (I used the Light Toffee side for more contrast) as well as our *NEW* Mix-in Paper Pack.

Then I grabbed our Thanks Thin Cuts as well as several retired and current stamp sets I could use for accents to the layout. I knew right away that I definitely wanted to include the slice of pie from the November Stamp of the Month, You Warm My Heart. After all, you can’t have Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie. At least not in my family!

Want to know a helpful trick for coloring with your alcohol markers? Wet emboss your images! It creates a nice crisp stamped image. Plus, the raised edges create barriers so that when you are coloring you stay within the lines and have no issues of bleeding. I used our Black Pigment ink and Clear Embossing Powder for my turkey and pie images.

How about another fun (and easy!) trick? You can use our alcohol markers to not only color in stamped images, but our wood shapes and embellishments, too! I’ve colored in my hearts and arrow using our TriBlend Markers.

If you’ve never created a layout ahead of time, I encourage you to give it a try. This way you’ll know exactly how many photos you’ll need for your layout. But more importantly what orientation the photos need to be! Have fun creating your Thanksgiving 2020 Scrapbook Layout using today’s free layout pattern.
