Looking for an easy technique on turning some basic metal accessories into a more Shabby Chic look?
Take a look at our bookplate in the upper left hand corner of the layout. It starts out pewter. But add in a few items from our Distressing Kit, and you’ll have this:
Start by painting the bookplate with the acrylic paint. After it has dried, take the sanding block and lightly sand to release some of that paint and expose the metal underneath. And to finish it all off, take an ink pad that coordinates with your project and swipe a few sections of the bookplate. Voila…a complete transformation!
