Thursday Tip–Add some shimmer August 22, 2015January 6, 2011 by Kristina Baldwin I am loving our *NEW* Spray Pen! The possibilities are endless with this tool…you can mix water and your choice of re-inker to do a nice mist. Or you could mix water and Pearl Paint to get a shimmer mist. Or better yet you could mix water, re-inker and some Pearl Paint to get a shimmer mist with a touch of color like I’ve done. Check out that shimmer! It looks like glitter paper…I love it! Here is what I did: Take your Spray Pen and add 4-5 drops of Create-a-Shade Pearl Paint (note: this is paint…there is no such thing as true drops, think globs!) add 5-6 drops of re-inker of choice (I used Pear) and then fill pen with water leaving some space to shake it up (I filled mine to the 12th line on the pen–there’s little markings on the pen for measurement assistance). Then shake, shake, shake. Now, I recommend you find an old box for the spraying part as it will be a tad bit messy. Place your CS in the box and then lightly spray your shimmer paint on it. Let dry and then use on project of choice. This is actually one of the projects that my Stamp Club will be doing this month. I made 2 different samples so they could choose how fancy they wanted their shoe to be…simple button (one of our *NEW* Black Button Brads) or more blingy with one of our Square Sparkles (this is for you Jennie!) adhered to the center of a ribbon slide. Which shoe do you like better? Facebook0Tweet0Pin0
