Welcome Spring Card Closeup

Welcome Spring Card

Welcome Spring Card

Today it’s rainy and pretty dreary where I live.  But I actually like it.  It’s a change in weather, something I feel like there isn’t enough of in California (it’s important to note that I grew up in the Midwest so I am accustomed to some pretty dramatic weather changes!)

CTMH Chelsea Gardens Paper Pack

I felt like this card offered some great hope for a beautiful spring.  Plus, I’m absolutely in love with Close To My Heart’s *NEW* Chelsea Gardens Paper Collection!  Check out those beautiful patterns!

CTMH's Welcome Spring Stamp Set

And you can’t go wrong with a stamp set called Welcome Spring!  (I also really love the “Sunny days” sentiment!  Several people have already pointed out this stamp set to me because of my blog name.  I just need to mask off the “s” from the image and I’ll be good to go!) 🙂

Make It From Your Heart Volume 4

I designed this card using CTMH’s *NEW* Make It From Your Heart Volume 4–it’s all about cards!  Yep, 54 pages of wonderful inspiration for cards.  The new collection contains 24 new patterns simple enough that you can create cards quick and easy, but also with room to embellish to your heart’s desire.

I used the soft colors in this paper collection (Juniper, Fern and Glacier) along with Sponge Daubers to ink up the sentiment.  It makes for a nice multi-colored image and is easy enough to do.

Welcome Spring Card Layers

I love the look of the angles in this pattern and felt this ribbon cutout from CTMH’s Cricut Artistry Collection was a perfect focal point for the card.  And the final touch was 2 small Bitty Sparkles (love these gems, but you definitely need to use a pair of Non-Stick Micro-Tip Scissors or a pair of Tweezers with them!)

Be sure to check out all the new crafty goodness in Close To My Heart’s Seasonal Expressions 1 Catalog that was just released.  I have no doubt you’ll fall in love with an item or two (or ten!)
