In honor of Thanksgiving, I thought it was the perfect time to reflect on why I’m thankful to be a Close To My Heart Consultant and have my own stamping business.
1. The flexibility. On Monday, I spent nearly the whole school day in my children’s classroom. I was able to help organize and cook dishes with both 3rd grade classes in order for them to come together and celebrate a Thanksgiving Feast. After cooking with the students, I then helped serve at the feast and then after they had recess and lunch (even though lunch was no longer needed–there was so much food!!), I returned to the classroom to watch the students give their presentations on the endangered animals they’ve been researching the last few weeks. There aren’t too many traditional jobs that allow you to choose when you’ll work!
2. The relationships. I’ve said it before and I have no doubt that I’ll continue to say it, but the friendships and relationships I have built by becoming a CTMH Consultant are amazing. I have so many wonderful friends that I couldn’t imagine my life without. I met them through being a CTMH Consultant. I reflect frequently on whether or not they’d have come into my life had we not had that connection. I’ve even met Stacy Julian and had the opportunity to hear her speak several times. And coincidentally, she used to be a CTMH Consultant, too!
3. The creativity. Being part of a community of like-minded individuals is so energizing for your creativity. You are inspired and pushed to expand your artistic abilities each and every day. I’m constantly impressed by the amazing talents of my fellow Consultants and even humbled to have had the opportunity to teach and share my creativity with these same Consultants at a few Conventions.
If you’ve ever considered becoming a Close To My Heart Consultant or maybe you are just now exploring the idea, I highly recommend you give it a try. There is no harm it trying, right? The worst that can happen is that you find it’s not for you and you’re left with a Consultant Kit full of awesome Close To My Heart products that you’re forced to create with it! =)
